Attorney Chiravollatti to Attend DWI Detection & Standard Field Sobriety Test Seminar

DWI defense is complex and constantly evolving. At The Hammer Law Firm, LLC, our team strives to understand this area of law to the fullest extent. That's what Nicole Chiravollatti, a defense attorney at our firm, will attend a DWI Detection & Standardized Field Sobriety Testing seminar on September 20th, 2014.

During the seminar, Ms. Chiravollatti will learn the type of training law enforcement officers receive throughout the nation in the most up-to-date "DWI/SFST Practitioners" course. In addition to these course, the seminar will also feature instruction on some of the most frequent errors law enforcement officers make during stops.

Ms. Chiravollatti will learn how officers are trained to give and guage the results of field sobriety tests such as the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus, Walk and Turn, and One Leg Stand. Additionally, a live alcohol workshop will be conducted so Ms. Chiravollatti can gain a better understanding of sobriety tests and how volunteer participants react to alcohol consumption and tests just as officers would. Volunteers will have blood alcohol concentration levels ranging from 0.00 to the legal limit of .08 and beyond.
